The issue might be due to compatibility or configuration settings. First, ensure that the SafeNet Authentication Client version 10.8.R2 supports IDPrime 3940 FIDO. It's possible that this version may not fully support the newer card or require additional settings or updates to configure it correctly. Check the software's release notes or documentation for compatibility information and any known issues. Additionally, confirm that the drivers for IDPrime 3940 FIDO are correctly installed. If the client tool or drivers need updating, download the latest versions from the vendor's website. If problems persist, consider reaching out to technical support for further assistance.

We are testing certificates on a smart-card using SafeNet in Windows 7. The problem we have is that we cannot select the certificates from the smart-card in Outlook 2010. They are not shown at all. Even in SafeNet ( 8.1.425.0 SP1, trial version) we cannot see the certificates on the smart-card. Using a Vista system we can see the certificates via the same SafeNet version. Is there any known issue about SafeNet and Windows 7? What can we do?

No, there isn't any known issue about SafeNet and Windows 7, but from what it seems, you're using a version that is not fully compatible with your platform. In order to fix the problem, I recommend you update the product to the latest version. To do this, you will need to contact the support team because there isn't an online resource available to update the software.
